Experts from IOM Bulgaria took part in an online seminar on "Trafficking in human beings for labour exploitation and forced labour: prevention, identification and referral in the context of bilateral cooperation between Germany and Bulgaria" organized by the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings together with the Employment Agency.

More than 150 employees of various government agencies participated in a training program. The purpose of the program was to educate the participants about the Bulgarian government's structure and policies regarding human trafficking and labor exploitation. It included prevention strategies and outreach to vulnerable populations, as well as information for Bulgarian citizens seeking employment in Germany.

The IOM Bulgaria experts acquainted all participants with the goals and various activities of the project "Raising the awareness of local communities in areas with significant Roma populations on asylum and migration issues" and shared their professional experience in working with vulnerable individuals from different Roma communities in Bulgaria.
