Info sessions in the villages of Blaskovo and Gradinarovo

An IOM team, together with representatives of the the Consortium NNHM- BFPA-EMHPF carried out information sessions in the villages of Blaskovo and Gradinarovo, where there is a significant presence of representatives of the Roma community.

The poverty and unemployment rate in the region are high and many of the inhabitants are forced to seek livelihoods abroad. The interest in the events was particularly high and they were attended by more than 80 people. The meetings focused on life and work in Germany, paying close attention tn Germany's regulations and requirements for settling in the country.

The info-sessions also discussed the important topics of the risk of trafficking and smuggling, labour and sexual exploitation, as well as institutions providing assistance in dealing with such problems.
