Project activities at the end of 2021

The development of the Communication Strategy for the project has been completed. The Communication Strategy, developed by the NNHM-BASP-EMHPF Consortium, was created and structured based on the field survey completed in early autumn 2021 in the project locations. The strategy is not intended to restrict the free movement of people or stigmatize migration, nor does it have a primary focus on ending fraud, finding the sources of fake news, and other such offensive actions. Rather, it aims to show and present the bad practices that happen due to lack of knowledge and experience. It seeks to help with information to make it easier for Bulgarian migrants to integrate into the life of the country where they work, taking into account the rules and regulations.
- The following information sessions were held:
- During the past months, workshops were held with the teams for social services working with vulnerable persons from the Roma community. The project team got acquainted with the services of the Temporary Accommodation Centre and the Family Centre in the village of Malak Iskar (Etro Pole) - under the care of the CONCORDIA Foundation, where information sessions with the users were held.
- At the invitation of our colleagues from the Center for family-type accommodation in Smolyan we visited their base, where we held an information session with young people over 18 years of age. The young people are about to leave the service - they want to go and live and work abroad.

We got acquainted with the activities of the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration in the Municipality of Plovdiv, where we presented the objectives and activities of the project we are implementing. At the invitation of our colleagues from the Centre, on 02.12.2021 we held an information meeting with the participation of the users of the Shelter and the Temporary Accommodation Centre in Plovdiv. The users were consulted about the risks of working abroad, organized by intermediaries with "tempting" promises. Space was opened for discussion and sharing of personal experiences.
